Finally 4!

Happy late birthday to put super awesome kiddo Joseph!!

Although my recording is nearly a week late, his entrance into this world was anything but delayed. Definitely my 15 minute drop-out baby, Joseph's arrival on the 25th was such a great blessing.

He has a sweet spirit and is very matter-of-fact with curiousity involved in everything. He's a fun kid to try to figure out how to motivate and encourage. He loves attention though, so that's always a constant.

Happy #4 little Joseph! And your BFF Lego "Jerry".

He loves us

I learn a lot from these kiddos. They're great. Hopefully they learn a lot from me too.

The other night it was lights out- kitchen closed- time for bed- no more anything hour, and Joseph kept coming out. I kept putting him back. He came out I put him back. He came out. Over and over and over and over and over again. I hear him get up again, only to be interrupted by Kaylena asking him what he's doing.

"I'm getting up. "
"Why?"
"Because I'm hungry"
"Ya, but mom says it's done and we can't eat anymore. "
"But I just get something a little"
She responds,"no, just come lay in my bed with me."

They start to talk about the stars and sky and nighttime and trees and everything their little heads can imagine. How sweet is that!  I learned from that not to change and give in, but to feed them more!!!

The nights following have gone much smoother. Thank you for letting me learn! Thank you for letting me love! Thank you Lord for showing me how to love then and now- I need a lot more work.

It's what I do

Tonight Joseph was talking to my mom on the phone. He was explaining about the airplane statues we saw the other day and then a rock that his cousin gave him. "I'm going to keep it for my collection." My mom asked him where he learned all those big words like statue and collection. To which he responded, "it's what I do" in his very matter-of-fat way.

Such a sweet boy.
